Special Notice

Effective immediately, Aris Editions is returning to it's status as a private studio and will no longer be accepting scanning or printing jobs. I will continue with my personal artistic pursuits but as a serious enthusiast rather than as a professional. I really appreciate the special opportunity I had to work with so many wonderful and interesting clients.

Film Scanning

Lot's of great artwork is still locked up in film. Maybe the original artwork is long gone or installed in such a way that it isn't practical to bring it in for scanning. You might be a photographer looking for a way to get some film converted to digital images. We work with local service providers that can deliver beautiful detailed film scans for any need you might have.

Why You Really Want a Drum Scan

When it comes to scanning film, a drum scanner will drill out details that even the best CCD scanner can't touch...even the really expensive ones. For exacting photographic work, large pre-press jobs or huge, high-resolution images for large-format reproduction, a drum scanner has the optical resolution and dynamic range you need to produce the smoothest scans possible from negatives and transparencies. Chromes or negatives, small 35mm's to large 8 x 10 in. transparencies, a drum scan delivers the best possible digital image from your film.
